I should have been working today but I couldn't be bothered. I'm way ahead in school anyway. Instead I slept like someone knocked me unconscious and then I played around with MediaWiki.
See, the other night I decided that I wanted to see what it's like to have your own Wikipedia (I get these kinds of ideas sometimes), and since I have no reason to install it on my domain, I installed it on my laptop. It's kinda funny, I started using it to keep my fics in order, it's cool to have that as a mindmap.
Then I uploaded some new avis, made some PHP-ones and played around in Photoshop to make a banner for mine and ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) mutedtempest 's blog that we're gonna start later this year. Sometimes when I play with Photoshop, things don't end well. And sometimes, they go extremely wrong. Some examples of that are under the cut if someone would like to laugh at me.

So, I had another dream last night. Once again, I was getting married, and this wedding of mine was in Flipside in Super Paper Mario. (Yeah, I think maybe I've been playing Wii just a bit too much lately.) There was chicken and chinese food everywhere because the "guy" I was supposed to marry really liked that. Um... See, Bowser is not really a guy. Anyways, he wanted us to steal as much food as possible and pack it on a bike so we could take it with us after the wedding. I wasn't so keen on the idea, but I helped him anyway, because in Super Paper Mario (I don't know if you've played it) there's this void in the sky that's like a gate between dimensions or something, but in the dream, it was just a hole in the ceiling that he'd made for me so I could look at the stars. Isn't he just sweet? I didn't really think so. So we were dancing and stuff to the damn "Do you take it in the ass?" song and I just kept wondering when the hell Shane was gonna come and rescue me, but she never showed up. Damn her. She's supposed to always save me from my stupid dream weddings, that's her thing! Oh well, I bet she was too busy with Jenny.
The dream was really annoying though, because someone kept pressing the A button and switching between 2-D and 3-D and it made me f-ing dizzy.
Why can't I ever have normal dreams? |

I honestly have no idea what I did all day. I was up all night, I slept sitting up on the couch for a while this morning and I got about an hour in the afternoon, but the other 23 hours are a mystery to me. Feels like all I did was watch the news but that doesn't sound like me.
I did watch the olympics for a while though, and Sweden got silver in some bike thing (again). I don't know what it's called in English, sorry. But yay us.
Something about the olympics that's been seriously pissing me off though (I'm going to assume you've heard of it), is how they had this little girl singing in the opening ceremony, and it wasn't actually her. The real girl wasn't allowed to be on TV because she was too ugly and anyone who's to represent China has to be perfect. I mean, no offense to any Chinese person who might be reading this, but WTF?! If they wanted her voice, they should have had the decency to let her actually stand there and sing to people. And now the whole world is making this into a big deal and I bet that's gonna feel just great for her. Apparently she said that she was happy to have at least gotten to sing and that just makes me so sad. I don't understand how they could do that to a kid. |

The other day I actually sat my ass down and decided I was done with the theory for now and it was time to install Borland C++ Compiler 5.5 that I'm supposed to use for my programming class. I pretty much expected that Vista was gonna eff something up again like it did with Apache and MySQL, but surprise surprise! It didn't! Works smoothly as hell.
So, I started trying to figure things out, and jesus. This is so easy it's boring. I really hope it's going to get more advanced pretty soon or my ears are gonna fall from my head or something. I'm almost done with everything for this whole week AND next week, and school started this morning.
Anyways, I made my first program with C++ to check that everything was working, and OMG it's so freaking advanced!!"111!!! What does it do? It says "Hello World !" and waits until you press a key, then it closes. Sheesh.

Hey, I'm Aimee. But most just call me AJ. I'm new here to insanejournal. I literally just made an account. But I do have a livejournal, so I do know the basics. I'm really into music, and I can play multiple instruments. I'm into any genre of music. I'll listen to anything that gets my head bobbing.
In the future, I wish to become a Music Producer or a Graphic Designer. I do admit. I'm a Photo-shop Whore. Haha.
I live in the NYC, which does tend to get annoying a bit. I want to move in the suburb sometime this year. if my boyfriend will let me. XD I have a black cat named Boo, and I love her to death. Haha.

The stars I mean.
I went out to smoke, and finally, FINALLY the stars have come back! For those of you who don't know why this is such a big deal, I live just a bit below the arctic circle in Lappland, and we have sunlight in the night all summer, so we never see them. And apparently now, for about an hour or two around midnight, I get to see them again.
At first I just saw something that looked like Vega (in Lyra) and a small part of Aquila, but when I went inside and got my glasses, I could see 8 constellations! SQUEEE!!!!
Lyra (with Vega shining bright as hell on the right side of the sky)
Pegasus (which I have decided I'm no longer scared of - long story)
Aquila (only the top of it as the rest is behind the trees - but still!)
Aries
Auriga (Capella is more beautiful than I've ever seen it before, it's like the sun, opposite to Vega)
Cassiopeia (almost missed it because I didn't expect to see it so high up there)
Perseus
Cygnus (last one I saw, hadn't expected to see that one either, but if Lyra's there, Cygnus usually is)
Soon I'll be able to see Gemini and Orion again.
I'm totally having a happy. There a few things in the world that makes me so happy I just cry, but seeing the stars for the first time every fall is one of them. YAY! |
